Welcome to Metropolitan College of New York’s School for Human Services and Education. MCNY is comprised of three distinct Schools, each built upon the foundation of Purpose Centered Education. Our Programs are committed to experiential learning and applied scholarship. Each Program will challenge you academically, professionally and personally. The Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education is the original School of MCNY and grew out of the War on Poverty in the 1960s. In the School for Human Services and Education, we are constantly revising and developing new and innovative Programs and Certifications so that our students remain relevant and competitive in an ever-changing field. Our Faculty is composed of scholars and working professionals who are committed to the success of our student in becoming productive and creative members of society.

In addition to benefiting society by contributing their knowledge to roles in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Social Services, Group Activism, Community Organization, Mental Health, Crisis Intervention, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, Geriatrics, Child and Family Services, and Student Affairs Administration. Our graduates have also been successful in creating new agencies and programs in order to help their communities. As a student of our Program, you will engage in civic life as an agent of social change. All of our degree programs offer opportunities for students to examine themselves and to explore different aspects of their fields of study while receiving the skills necessary to create social justice and be agents of positive change in the world
